Franz Joseph Haydn is one of the Vienna classical famous composers. In the creation aspect of symphony and string quartet, he had first established the principle which four movements combination and the symphony orchestra establishment, but also had determined the principle of sonata form, these achievements caused him to become founder of Vienna classical, Haydn is called"papa Haydn","father of the symphony"and"father of the string quartet". About Haydn music work research, people more paid attention to symphony and string quartet, but research on piano sonata actually appears somewhat weakly. Since 19th century, different pianist has performed different style of Haydn's sonata, and has left behind the many kinds of different editions sonata. We discover each edition is different. Different edition sonata has provided extremely broad imagination space for the posterity from different angle to perform Haydn's sonata.This article takes"Sonata in E-flat Major"(Hob.XVI/52) the first movement as an example, through kinds of edition, compares with different edition from phrase division, speed, dynamics, ornaments and so on, discusses difference performance technique between different pianist, analyses performance genre of Haydn's late period piano sonata. This article first introduces biography of Haydn and the music work. Second chapter simply analyses Haydn's sonata from stages as well as creation. Third chapter in detail introduces"Sonata in E-flat Major"creation background and the edition spread. Fourth chapter takes the first movements as an example, compares with each kind of edition, discusses different technique which different pianist perform sonata. Fifth chapter from speed, dynamics, touch, pedal, ornament and so on, thoroughly studies performance genre of Haydn's late period piano sonata. The conclusion makes the brief outline to the article research."Sonata in E-flat Major"is one of three most influential sonatas in the late eighteenth century, it has unfolded all endeavor and talent of Haydn in keyboard creation aspect, is the greatest piano sonata. Through"Sonata in E-flat Major"different edition comparison, not only have very strong theory significance and practice significance to deduces this work from different angle, simultaneously, but also for studies creation characteristic and performance genre of Haydn's late period piano sonata provides new mentality.
