In January, 1987, Yu Hua wrote his first novel"My Voyage at Eighteen". In the decade afterward, he led his readers into an absurd world full of violence and slaughter, in which it is not strange at all for friends and even family members to kill one another. Such strategies are on one after another in the deep side of the mysterious world. According to Yu Hua, the plots in his novels are forms of reality. In the 1990s, some of his novels came into being such as"Yelling and Shower"and"Alive"and so on. In spite of fewer descriptions about violence and slaughter, some signs of advocating violence can still be seen. This character can be confirmed by his latest novel"Xu Sanguan Sold His Blood". The questions concerning the reasons why so much violence and slaughter appear in Yu Hua's novels have aroused much debate and curiosity of study. In this paper, I tried every means to find some answers to the questions above by sorting out his texts, generalizing the description about violence and slaughter in his novels, assessing his criticism on the reality now, looking back at his childhood, studying his experiences when he was young and surveying his world view and philosophy in life. The reasons why there are so many descriptions about violence and slaughter in Yu Hua's novels can come down to the following three aspects: firstly, as far as psychology is concerned, his childhood experiences and memories can have great influence on the formation of his world view; Secondly, from the angle of creation of psychology, his childhood memories have great influence on his Psychological Structure of Thinking; thirdly, by analyzing the texts of his novels, we can find that his childhood memories have great influence o his literature creations. The three aspects above show that there is some close relationship between his childhood memories and the violence and slaughter in his novels.
