1927-1937 was the Decade of the confrontation between the KMT and Communist Party. In this decade, the Communist Party put up the Agrarian Revolution and its strength was constantly growing. It found a suitable path of the Chinese revolution: the route of Agrarian Revolution. At this time, KMT also implemented some land policy, but the results were far from satisfactory. This paper intends to research the rises and falls of these two regimes through the comparison of the purpose, result, method and the resources of thought. This text includes four parts. The first part mainly represented the Agrarian Revolution of Kuomintang. It referred the equalization of landownership and land to the tiller Sun Zhongshan. It also introduced the policy of land by the government of country. In my opinion, the policy of land by Kuomintang deviated Sun Zhongshan's. Because Sun Zhongshan expected everyone could have their own land to plough; restricted the concentration of the land; and the land should own country. Whereas, the policy of land by Kuomintang was only for increasing tax and supply. The second part mainly narrated the policy of land by Communist Party. Obviously, the purpose of Communist Party was to abolish feudalism land tenure. The main point was to carry Agrarian Revolution. Therefore, all the policies was surrounding how to confiscate the land, whose land should be confiscated and the land to whom. Moreover, Communist Party was good at concentrating the profit of nation. It can grasp the people's livelihood at the key moment. It was better than Kuomintang on tactic. The third part mostly tell the comparison of the policies between two parties. From the source of the thought, they are different. Sun Zhongshan's idea was from Henry George; Communist Party's thought rooted the theory of Comintern which is abolishing feudal landownership. From purpose and method, Sun intended land to go back to country, while Sun Zhongshan adopted improvement to own the land, while Communist Party adopted revolutionary violent to solve. The results are different. Communist Party carried out land policy in order, which won the morale and also destroyed the suppress of Kuomintang. Although Kuomintang carried out two-five hire-cut, but the effect was tiny.Part four mainly through the comparative analysis of KMT's land revolution and the successful experience of the Communist Land Policy to discuss the two parties' rises and falls. Most people consider the reason of KMT's failure is that it upholds the feudal land ownership. The author believes that the reason is lacking a unified and stable environment, China's semi-colonial and semi-feudal social nature, and its own regime of corruption. The reason of CPC's victory is to break the state of society and fight against imperialism and feudalism. In short, the difference between the KMT and our Communist Party is the choice of different roads. In a semi-colonial, semi-feudal China, the ideological and political awareness were very chaotic. The most important is only to solve the problem of people's livelihood and launch the oppressed people to put up for resistance. The KMT did not solve the livelihood problems, and then the final failure came!...
