The Biograghy And Attest Of Qing Grand Securatery Zhao Guolin From Tai'an Region

The foreword gives a brief introduction to the content,backgrand, value and method of the thesis. There have been few scholars who investigated this subject.The materials about Zhao Guolin are quite numerous and jumbled. Some of the materials contain conflict and false reconds. In order to bring the study to a higher level, a full textual research of all materials is necessary.The thesis is divided into two parts:The first ,the annual record of Zhao Guolin. The dividling lines of the three sections of this part is Zhao Guolin's experience as an official. The materials mostly root in original files, official historical records, Zhao Guolin's written materials, local gazetteers and books by other Qing scholars. Based upon the textual research of all these resources, this thesis provides a reliable annual account of Zhao Guolin's life.The second part of this study carries out a textual and factual study of the records about Zhao's family. The second section deals with several doubtful and confusion points about Zhao's life in the written materials.this section provides, for the first time ever, a full and reliable list of Zhao's work.In the end, the author generally appraised Zhao as a historical figure. Furethen more, a self eveluation, including questions remain to be resolved, is made in order to benifite the further studies of the same subject.
