With the economic development, Chinese women are still perceived as inferior to men although most Chinese women have been independent in economy. In the movie area, women still stand on the role of"sighted, or watched"as an aesthetic objective under the male power.2. The analysis of female image in Chinese soap operas. Owing to female joined in media section, female image have been shown in many media areas. There has been obvious contrast between the female images shaped by female and these shaped by male.
