| Negative physical self refers to a passive image of one's body, passive emotional experience and the corresponding adjustment of one's behaviors, from the negative orientation on physical self-study. At present, research in this area is extremely popular abroad, but there has been a relative lack of national research in this area. Negative self-induced mental health problems (such as low self-worth, low self-esteem), behavioral problems (such as eating disorders) and disease (obesity, anorexia nervosa) is widespread. Due to the concerns of youth for self-evaluation of their awareness of others are particularly high. Especially prominent and generally dissatisfied with their bodies.In view of the young people of different ethnic backgrounds to explore their physical self-negative, Not only can enrich the body of the theory of self-study, education can also take timely intervention measures for the prevention of disorder have important practical significance.This article studies negative physical self of the boys and girls both Han and Yi, from the of difference the national perspective. Also, the present study was designed to develop predictive models for understanding body dissatisfaction among young males and females between Han and Yi in China. The results are as following :(1) The similarity of Han and Yi youths' negative physical self characteristics is : young Han and Yi's total negative physical self scores are less than the critical value of 2, it means that the adolescents of the two nationalities were satisfied to their own body, In all dimensions, girls are more dissatisfied than boys. Dimensions of satisfaction from low to high in turn is the general feature, appearance, short, fat, but in addition to the general feature, the rest are satisfied.(2) Han Yi youth negative physical characteristics of self-difference lies : Yi young people's scores in the overall negative scores and the general feature, appearance, short dimensions are significantly higher than that of the Han. Han youths only exist gender differences in fat dimension. Yi youth in the general features, fat, short dimensions are still gender differences. Han young negative physical self age difference, dissatisfied with the 14-year-old was significantly higher than that of other age groups. Yi youth negative physical self did not exist age difference.(3) Predictive models for young people Yi and Han, the perceived social pressure directly forecast and through social comparison indirectly affect the fat dissatisfied. Han and Yi for girls, body mass index directly and indirectly forecast predicted fat dissatisfied. Han and Yi for the boys, teasing at the fat is not affected.(4) The differences of the Han and Yi girls in predictive models are that: Teasing both direct and indirect effects the negative fat for the Han girls but not the Yi girls. Thin-ideal internalization is no influence on the Han girls' body dissatisfaction, but for the Yi girls exist; Body mass index both direct and indirect effect the negative fat of Han boys but not the Yi boys. Teasing both direct and indirect effects the negative fat for the Yi boys but only indirect effect for the Han boys. |
