Preliminary Study On The Tombs Of Han Dynasty In Chongqing Region

This thesis first of all does the research of periodization on the published data about more than 230 tombs of Han Dynasty which excavated in Chongqing Region, and secondly analyses the development process of cultures basing on the result of periodization, and discusses three correlative problems with regard to joint burial tombs, cliff burial and variety of culture in different regions.The whole article consists of seven parts.Partâ… : Preface.First is the explaining of the title. " Chongqing Region " in this article means merely not the Chongqing district but including some counties and cities in the northeast of Sichuan Province. " Tombs of Han Dynasty " means all the tombs buried in Han Period even with different cultures.Second is the summary of geographical environment. The region discussed in this article lies in the east of Sichuan Basin that is divided into two different geographical areas by Huaying Mountain. There are some joint burial tombs should be pay much attention to. According to the compare of funeral objects, we could find that there are different teams of different periods in the same grave.
