Research On The Female's Society Economic Activity Of Tang In The Dynasty

The research on society economy history in the past was focused on implements of production, land, taxes system and population census register, ignoring the relation between economic system and family system, and social division of labor in economic activities, especially, the contribution of the female labor to the family, society and country. With the attention to economic activities of China ancient female, choosing Tang Dynasty female economic activity as the object of study, this article is designed to try to illustrate the characteristic of work and female's work systemically from the perspective of social production activity, consumption activity, government policy, family in that era, expecting it as a reference to the research on the economic activities of modem female. Now, there are many experts at home and abroad who had made lots of researches on the economic activities of China ancient female and published works and dissertations quite a few. This article is designed to explore economy of Tang Dynasty from the viewpoint of sex based on the existing research achievements. In order to display the female economic activity Tang Dynasty systemically, the author collected large amount of history historical materials and displayed the situation of female economic activities in that era by studying some historical photographs. The author wants to make people have deeper acquaintance to economic activity of female Tang Dynasty by arrangement and analyse of historical materials.The article can be divided into six parts as followings:â… . Introduction: The author narrated the general situation research of female economic activity Tang Dynasty briefly.â…¡. Female's social production in Tang Dynasty. The author discussed that the female bracketed into different class levels in Tang Dynasty participate in agriculture, handicraft industry, textile, commerce and others by large amount of historical materials, and summed up their contribution to society productive labor.â…¢. Female's consumption in Tang Dynasty. The author written survival materials consumption of female in Tang Dynasty first, and analyze the basic necessities of life and other consumption in different class levels of the society and the characteristics of female costumes consumption, then discussed the development consumption which includes home education, social education as well as religion. Finally enjoyment consumption which includes participation in recreation and marriage of female has been discussed.â…£.Female's physical labor in two fields: government policy and the family. The former describes the female labor activities under the government policy which includes taxes, corvee that the female bears and material rewards in Tang Dynasty. The latter addressed the female physical labor of family field, including property right of inheritance, eminent domain in family and contribution to household economy.â…¤. Characteristics of female economic activity in Tang Dynasty: The author analyzed female's economic activity characteristics as well as economic status in Tang Dynasty, and factors affecting female economic activities.â…¥. The Tang Dynasty female moves because own reason also has theambiguity; Because the social economy foundation and the politicalsystem transformation urges the social ife way change, the TangDynasty female's also gradually is changing in social economy activityfunction.
