A Research Of The Nationality Of Shi Guangnan's Works And The Music Style

Shi Guangnan is a representative in the composition history of Chinese national music. His achievements focus on his works of national artistic songs. This paper theoretically explains nationality, and the national style of music, deals with the relationship between the style and music, explores and studies the cultural backgrounds and cultural values that shaped the music style.This paper consists of three chapters. Chapter 1 and chapter 2 are discussed from 3 aspects. Firstly, the two chapters clarify conceptually the relationship between nationality, national style and musical national style. They also explain how music expresses national style by referring to Shi guangnan's some masterpieces. Secondly, the two chapters analyse the basic traits of national style and composition skills by musical forms, composition techniques, tones, rhythm patterns and melodic way in Shi guangnan's works. We also draw a conclusion of the characteristics of oneness and synthesis of his composition by reference to his national style traits. Thirdly, the chapters explores the plural trend of music composition skills from shi's opera music, i.e. the relationship between use for reference and blending.Chapter 3 mainly deals with the composition of shi's national works and his influences .First, his influence on singers enriches the singing styles and enhances the blending of vocal music techniques between china and the west. Meanwhile, it fosters a lot of outstanding singers, such as Guanmucun, Liguangxi, and so on. Second, his influence on composers lies in the extension of the subjects and the composition techniques. He opened a national way of music composition mainly by imitating the style.
