| With the widespread of bel canto in China since the last century, the arias in operas, the exotic flowers in the vocal music treasury, have gradually drawn great influence in Chinese music field.With the understanding of arias, more and more people come to show their interest to arias in operas and it becomes very common that the lessons of arias teaching are set up in academies of music. Sopranos, who study in academies of music, all know some basic information about soprano arias and could skillfully perform certain famous arias.This paper mainly focuses on the classical soprano arias of puccini, a famous opera composer.pucciniinherited and developed the expressive methods of Italian traditional operas in his own creation. Based on his penetrating understanding of the operas, he greatly changed the dramatic expression and the combination between plot and music. What he did is reflected through the graceful and fluent melodies created by him and the preeminent skills to deal with the multi-vocal part musical works.With the persevere effort and artistic practice, pucciniachieved the perfect unity between the dramatic and musical effects of operas, which formed the efficient and harmonious communication between performers and audience. The study object of this paper is the performing and teaching methods of puccini's soprano arias. This paper also includes the introduction ofpuccini's life and creative features, the comprehensive analysis of musical and emotive characters of arias and the request for voice, emotion and emotive expression of the singers in performance.The first part of this paper includes the brief introduction of puccini's life story and career experience, explanation of his creative intention and quotation of some musicians'evaluation to his musical works.The second part introduces and analyzes the musical features of puccini's soprano arias from four aspects: the content of lyrics, the musical emotion, the formation of the rhythm and the musical technique.The third part is the key point of this paper. This part includes the introduction and analysis ofpuccini's works, the training of the emotional experience and teaching methods. Furthermore, some personal performing and teaching experience of the writer are also provided in this part.The last part of this paper is some evaluation on the active function ofpuccini's soprano arias and statement about the practical significance to wide spread the performing and teaching of puccini's soprano arias. It is expected that the analysis of this paper could help the music learners to have deeper understanding of puccini's soprano arias and make some contribution for the development of vocal singing works. |
