Management of northwestern frontiers is one of important policies in YongZheng period during Qing Dynasty. This is also the process of YongZheng`s implementing his policies of frontiers. The problems in QingHai, XiZang and XinJiang are complicated and interrelated in YongZheng period. YueZhongqi is dutiful and experienced executor of YongZheng`s policies of frontiers in the process of solving these problems. YueZhongqi`s determination and bravery in his assisting NianGengyao in dealing with QingHai revolt make YongZheng emperor enjoy him. Because of the interrelations of problems between XiZang and XinJiang, Qing Dynasty are scrupulous in dealing with XiZang problem. YueZhongqi develops some advice which make YongZheng emperor pleased and are helpful for his upgrade in solving XiZang problem. YueZhongqi is appointed captain of western armies when Qing Dynasty is decided to solve the problem of Jungar in XinJiang. YueZhongqi does his best to suppress revolts in his tenure. Because of the intricacy of Jungar problem, YongZheng`s hesitation as well as his birth of Han nation, YueZhongqi`s achievements are disappointing in solving the problem of Jungar. He is delated and put in prison. YueZhongqi is released and appointed again in second year in QianLong period. No matter how we shall evaluate his achievements and demerits, we can not deny his loyalty in solving the problems of frontiers in Qing Dynasty.
