In order to investigate this"special"existence, we try to put The poems of Imperial Reading in the context of the development of the Tang poems, explain the selection standard of The poems of Imperial Reading and expect having some rational cognition.The thesis consists of four parts:In the first part, we study the poet selection of The poems of Imperial Reading. The important study of this part is why The poems of Imperial Reading did not choose the five most famous poets of Yuanhe. We find that political environments of these poets affected the complier.In the second part, we research into the feature that complier favorite Jinti poems. Firstly, combined The poems of Imperial Reading with the collection of the Tang poems before it. Meanwhile, explain the reason why it selected different number poems.In the third part, we study the content of poems in The poems of Imperial Reading. Connected with social life and the development of Tang Dynasty poems, we will analysis frontier poems and voluptuous poems in detail.In the forth part, we analysis the literary thoughts of The poems of Imperial Reading .It advocates the literary thoughts of Qi-liang and Da-li, favorites Jinti poems, loves clear and beauty style but refuse change and eccentric. As a book for imperial reading, it also has rich style.In general, the appearance of The poems of Imperial Reading in Yuanhe was not a haphazard. Although it did not reflect the change of Yuanhe poems, it embodied the fact that Yuanhe poems succeeded the literary thoughts of Qi-liang. The poems of Imperial Reading had some defects, but it also reflected the reality of literary history and should have it value in history.
