Until Droysen started"An enthusiasm period"of Hellenistic study in 19th century, the Hellenistic period became a period not easily be neglected, and from then on, we get a more and more clear Hellenistic world. During this period, which lasts the last 300 years before A.D., there were many stories that worth recording and giving our ears to, such as the complicated political relations and the interactional Thomisms. The Stoicism was a branch of philosophy at that time, a big one. During its life which lasted 500 years, it did not only inherite lots of minds from sages, but also produced some significant impacts on later Christianism. This text begins with the introduction on the general pictures of Early Stoicism and its ethnics, finding out the time spirit embedding in its ethnics through comparing the differences and relations between Early Stoicism and sages and contemporary ethnics, in order to prove that in the Early Stoicism ethnics, there were syncretic elements which coming from belief absence on the one hand, on the other hand, were criterions produced by bitty reality. Finally the text ends with the conclusion that in this truce less and conflicting period, the virtue which presented by Socrates was not inherited completely, the status of criterion became stronger and turned into the basis of religionary ethic. The first chapter describes the general situation of the Stoa, including its leaders and status in the development of Ancient Greek ethnics, and it also tries to get an unitive interpretation for the Chinese name of Stoa, which yet has not a uniform title in china. The second chapter analyses the background and idea source of Early Stoicism. The third chapter introduces the content of Stoicism, and makes differences between Stoicism and other contemporary ethnics, as for the logic and physics in Stoicism, from my point of view, it will assist us in understanding its ethnics farther, and the similarities and differences with the contemporary ethnics are indispensable to our conclusion. Moreover, the fourth chapter also stresses on Zeno and his followers'participating in politics, so that we will comprehend this period much more. At last, the text will base on analysis, take criterion as clew and survey the thoughts of sages, and educe my tentative conclusion at the end.
