The Design Research Of The Chinese Stewardess Uniform

Accompanying with the development of the Chinese Air Lines, Chinese stewardess uniform have appeared since 1950s. As the high standard and quality, stewardess has been considered as the important part of the image design. From the traditional culture opinion, this paper studies the present conditions of the stewardess uniform design. Aiming to supplement the region of the design development trend of the stewardess uniform, the paper studies its design styles and characteristics to concludes the design theory and the commonly used method.First of all, based on the history and present situation of design region, the paper mainly investigates the background and the important influence elements. Secondly, through the analysis of the excellent example, the important trend of using traditional factors is inferred. At the same time, from the theory and practical opinion, we can infer that the traditional culture recommended on its area is very necessary and feasible. Based on it, at the viewpoint of mold-making, material, pattern, the paper summarizes the questions and the existing characteristics.1,In the field of stewardess uniform design, the use of traditional element is the main trend, which is what I emphasize. Namely, it is a effective and reasonable method to combine the traditional culture. Therefore, this paper focuses on how to combine the "image" and "meaning" with stewardess uniform design and how to embody the design concept of combination of the oriental and international culture.2,Though the study on the history and present situation of the stewardess uniform design, we can obtain the key factors affecting its design, such as, function, identification, the culture of folk and region, psychology, etc. Moreover, from the function and identification opinions, I can infer that the traditional elements can make the stewardess image more effective.3,From the viewpoint of style, color, pattern, fabric, Combining the traditional factors with stewardess uniform design, we can find that some existing weakness. So, I summarize their regulars and bring forward some effective solutions.4,Based on the above-mentioned analysis, we can take the different style design the different situation. In international air lines, thedesign should be more international and modern. During the traditionalfestival and anniversary, the traditional style can be stronger. So, in theregion of Air lines, the region culture can be combined in its stylereasonably.
