Mental Flames Crossing Through Historical Darkness

Shizhi,as an honest and simple poet,taking the humanism as starting point,and inheriting the traditional and modern poems,added some elements and techniques of western and modern poetry creation. Thus,he made his poems enjoy the charms of both traditional poems of China and western modern poems.In his works,he persisted in examining.the core of human life,which is his calls to life from the recesses of his heart.By penetrating the superficial level of language and piercing into the inner part of soul,he deeply expressed his emotions and sentiments.While Shizhi is also an ambivalent poet.In his mind,two voices struggled and entangled.His dream's evaporation and the cruel reality troubled him.However,it spurred him as an invisible source and impetus for his creation.To some extent,Shizhi is the precursor of the obscure-Poem school,and his works enlightens deeply the following main poets of this school.Today's poetry circle is short of humanistic spirit and the poems are created in over-westernization form,or even in the style of prose poems.However,Shizhi,in his works,adhered to the theory and method of modern Chinese poetry creation,preserving the nativeness of Chinese poetry,which,to some extent,bears certain alert and rectification to today's avant-garde poetry creation.This article expounds the above ideas one by one from the following four aspects:the individual-subject character awakening;two voices entangling;native experience and consciousness in form;the enlightenment to today's avant-garde poetry creation.
