The Artistic Value And State Of Surviving Of Traditional Chanting Verse

Chanting verse is an important auxiliary way in the creating or studying of China's classical poetry. As a kind of unique singing reading way, it is different from reading aloud, is different from general singing too. Including abundant Chinese traditional music melody factor, chanting verse reflected the simple and deep aesthetic thought of music, it is the important stereo materials of China's traditional music in the deep study for us.The spread of chanting verse is totally awarded through unwritten method, its peculiar function lasts 3, 000 years in history. However, the social drastic change of China of the past 100 years has corroded the cultural background that survives of chanting verse greatly. Chanting verse, which has extremely high artistic value, is slipping to the edge of history step by step, is closing to extinction when we have not fully paid attention to, investigated and protected it yet.Analyzing from intension, function, types, aesthetic, environment such respects, etc. of chanting verse, I summarized some laws and characteristics from the material investigated, in order to offer some basic materials and preliminary achievement for scholars and fans.
