Law is an important aspect of human society. Law is a kind of system, as well as a sort of culture. We can find change of history, conflict of society and theme of times from law. As a kind of system, law enforces the state's rules and ensures individual's rights. Being a sort of culture, law contributes to person's imagination of self, class, and nation-state. During the period of 1930s, Chinese legal system rotated quickly, and national crisis unparalleled became acute. Law was the key point of modernity where conflict of society and theme of times encountered. Such issues as enlightenment, class, and salvation embodied law both in fictions and in films. Through the intertextuality of fiction, film and law, modernity was constructed and presented in total.
