This essay will deal with the topics of the deed verbs of this work ,about which I have performed my definition , made the analysis of meaning of words and the structure.This work is a special novel about social life between period of min and qing ,fmished up at the beginning of qing dynasty roughly. And the beginning of qing stands within the sphere of the late period of modern Chinese when is just the period of transition from the modern Chinese to the contemporary Chinese. And this book is one of the precious documents for the research of the development of the contemporary year Chinese history. In the present moment, the research about this book remains the level of literature studying ,the ascertaining of the finishing year and the writer's situation. Nonetheless, the language studying about the book is mostly regarding the interpretation and explanation of dialect. The studying intended for the verbs are few. But verb is the most important word type of linguistic; what is more, deed word is the most fundamental and numerous type of the verbs, worth the pain of studying. The using way of the deed verbs is free and flexible which is often used in the narrating sentences ,tending to give highlight to the variety and complexity of the human behaviors. Presently, people pay more attention to it in classical Chinese researching than in modern Chinese researching. So that is the reason whyâ… fix my concentration on deed verbs in this essay. There are 1100 deed verbs in this work. Firstly, deed verbs in the essay are defined as the verbs which originate from human beings and lead to some certain external conducts. And the words fall into two general categories according to the meaning of the verbs. One kind has close tie with the conducts which root in some fixed organs or corporal locations. The other kind of verbs is related with the deeds which is not very visible or the abstract words. Within the first general category, four sub categories leave separated. That is the deeds of five sense organs and head ,the deeds of arms or hands ,the deeds of legs or foots and the deeds of whole body. Maybe the case which the separation is found not unassailable pops up ,owning to the classification barely in line with meaning of the words. Next ,the comparison and analysis in the dimension of word meaning have been undertaken, I have picked out ten groups of common words as the reasoning and synthesizing object.The diagnosis upon the synonyms mostly focuses on the distinction existing in the scope of semantics and word use to which grammatical aspect is added up as supplements. Immediately after that, the comparing analysis's of deed verbs between the work and modern Chinese have been engaged in ,as well as the word use in two facets. What have been not already used in modern Chinese; What still are in use in modern Chinese ,although ,having their meaning experiencing a transformation yet. Also have I gone through a discussion concerning what track the evolution and growing of two party of commonly used behavior words :"searching, scouring" and "going,walking". Additinonally,I have involed a analysis of structure in the assay about the deed words of the novel:in the 1100 words,541single toned words could be counted grossly, roportioned 49.18% to the whole verbs;559 doubled toned words calculated, rated 50.82% of the overall verbs.which include almostly the compound words,545,accounting for97.50% of the doubled toned words;simple words 14,sharing 2.50% of doubled toned words. The appixes in the novel, particularly suffixes are kind of typical. At last part, summarized upthe lingusic traits of the book as follows:1)dailiness. The language of the book prones to be orally speaking that which keep in excellent conformity with the realtiy and scentedly with fresh life;2)spcecialty. The book hold the high profile tendency of colloquial language,as result in the uique deed words of its . own. What I claimmed as "specialty" here means the items of an entry or phrases of the "big dictionary "which are quotated or cited from the paragraphs or the lines of the novel as the single or particular examples.3)the dialectical character. As for the language of the novel,Shandong patois is used in the book here and there,especially the dialogues of the characters, so the book smells simple and natural, and so large number of dialects have been preserved.
