Since 1990s, a lot of officialdom novels which focus mainly on the officialdom and the intrigues in it have appeared in the Chinese literary circle. Because of the great amount and varieties, this kind of novels have drawn the attentions of both readers and critics. However, surveying the current research situation of the officialdom novels, we will find that most of the researches are to apply a theory to one part of a work and give it a careful analysis, so the conclusions they drew are usually concrete and separate. Therefore, it is of little value for us to understand the officialdom novels as a whole. In view of this situation, based on the text this paper gives a detailed analysis to a few officialdom novels that are representative and significant in china from the view of humanity, the view of traditional culture and female narrative. In this way, the paper concludes the value and the significant meanings of the officialdom novels as well as their deficiencies.The paper falls into three chapters: Chapter one discussed the definition of the officialdom novels and shows the background, the development process and the features of the officialdom novels. In chapter two, attention is primarily directed to the value and significance of the contemporary officialdom novels by analyzing some important ones from the view of humanity, the view of traditional culture and the view of female narrative. Through analyzing the living condition of the official figures, the paper explores the alienation of the human soul in the process of pursuing the power and reveals the obstinate malady of the traditional culture and the patriarchal ideology implied in the officialdom novels. In this process, the paper also inquires into the root of the corruption and makes a profound proposition of changing the Cultural Psychology of people. Chapter three centers on the deficiencies of the contemporary officialdom novels.
