Edward·W·Said (1935—2003) is a famous literary and culture criticism who had very important influence in western academic world. He is considered the founder which had developed Postcolonial culture theory. The classical works contains Orientalism ,Culture and Imperialism, Representation of the Intellectual .They have affected very largely in whole academic world.The Said' theory thought show intense ideological and political critical color, the critical Spearhead is toward the culture hegemony and the power politics, which be based on Orientalism. From this embarks, he has exposed and criticized sharply the western culture imperialism appearance and essence. Said has origin opinions on intellectual connotation ,responsibility and the transcendence. Moreover, he also has the extremely profound explanation to the humanism and democracy critics. The dissertation tries to study the profound connotation from Orientalism, Culture and Imperialism ,the Intellectual ,humanism and the democracy critics.The research on Said thoughts has important value. Firstly, we may clearly recognize the connotation and essence on Orientalism ,Culture and Imperialism ,which are helpful for us to critically absorb the western heterogeneous culture , justly localize the Chinese tradition culture and keep the sober minds. These means make easily strengthen our culture construction and the thought construction . Secondly, we may soberly realize the intellectual important task and responsibility , maintained the independent judgement and moral conscience , dared to express the seeing of oneself, acted as the weak' mouthpiece and maintained the critique conscience. Thirdly , we may deeply understand the connotation of the humanism and its serviceability which are helpful for intellectual to persist the humanism tradition and recognize the standard which one how to exist in Said thoughts. They lead the intellectual to take on the democracy critical responsibility ,carrying on the humanism practices—to fulfill the way toward 'the interrogation, the subversion, remodels the shape'.
