Contemporary Western Philosophy Of Mind And Thoughts On Developing Marxist Theory Of Consciousness

Taking issues of consciousness as coordinate, which is made up of a longitude and a latitude, respectively referring to research actualities as well as shortcoming of the theory of consciousness of Marxism and theories of consciousness of Contemporary Western Philosophy of Mind, this paper centers on research methods, essence, the extent of resolving and existing difficulties of theories of consciousness .The author tries to expatiate on his ideas for developing theory of consciousness of Marxism on the basis of analyzing actualities and absorbing research production of contemporary western philosophy of mind. For this reason, the paper tries to expound these elements from three aspects.First part is on present situation and problems of Marxist theory of consciousness. This part starts from general overview about theory of consciousness of the Marxist, and then explains the significance of consciousness research in Marxism Philosophy. Meanwhile, it is going to summarize situation of research in academic paper and monograph on Marxist theory of consciousness, making a comparison between the theory of consciousness and other aspects in Marxism philosophy as well as conventional theory of consciousness of Marxism to open out problems in them.Second part is on theories of consciousness of contemporary western philosophy of mind. Firstly, the author explains the distinctive angle of view of linguistic analysis and makes certain the connotation of consciousness. It also narrates chief ideas and main issues to dispute about consciousness.Third part is about the author's ideas for developing theory of consciousness of Marxism, mainly containing reflection about grammatical analysis, deconstruction of mind and essence of consciousness. The author expounds opportunities in progress and austere challenges to the theory of consciousness of Marxism and brings forward an outlet to settle the problems.
