Pearl Buck (1892-1973) is one of the disputed novelists in the 20th American literature. In China, a group of people have made studies on her from different angles, making special contribution to "Studies on Pearl Buck". Pearl Buck's The Good Earth trilogy has engendered far-reaching influence. This thesis analyses the trilogy on the basis of the relations between culture and literature. It is well-known that the Bible of Christianity is the book that exercises great influence on many writers in the western countries. The thesis aims to making a brief analysis on how the Bible exerts the influence on Pearl Buck and her works, especially The Good Earth Trilogy. The thesis author tries to analyze the religious issues from the Christian perspective. The thesis also probes into the Christian spirit reflected in The Good Earth Trilogy.
