Wang An Yi is a famous writer in Shanghai. She presented many high-quality and versatile novels for contemporary literature of china since stepping into the literature world in the end of 1970's. But the research for her works was not systemically. It still stayed on the stage of her single piece or making some of them into a certain school. So I decided, based on others'research, to find some perpetual elements in her long and middle novels after 1990's.Wang An Yi's works carried more philosophy ideas since 1990's. Trudging in spiritual world, she found many spiritual predicaments about human being's existence.I, (JiShi Yu XuGou) described heroically the past while in Shang Zhong HongLing Xia Zhong Ou everything became motionless state like a still scenery. All this attitude for the past came from a kind of perplex and being anxious for time. The young girl, in YouShang de NianDai, faced the wordless loneliness which transferred into an attitude for life in YinJun ShiDai. Loneliness was not only an isolated state but also a willing to be there to avoid assimilating by other groups. FuPing showed us a perpetual wandering fate of human beings through three generations women's lives.Such spiritual thoughts made the character including Wang An Yi indulged in spiritual predicaments. So Wang An Yi was eager to find some ways to rescue the individual in the predicaments.The ideal world made people jump out of such predicaments; however, we need to stick it. Wo Ai BiEr presented A San, a young girl, lost her ideal world in the foreign culture which made her suffered a lot. Another way out of predicaments was to indulge in the details of daily life just like Wang Qi Yao in Chang Hen Ge. The third way was practiced by two young girls Mei Tou and Yu Xiao Qiu . They had a strong strength came from their barbaric life which meant less thought and more action.There is no termination for the spiritual predicaments and no fixed ways to rescues the individual. But such exploring for mind world and insight into spirit is the grand quality of our human beings.
