The Study Of The Compare Between Chen Shizeng And Jin Cheng

In the early 20th centuries (1912-1937) in China, the trend of though of "industries saving the nation" had been replaced by "culture saving the nation" and arts became one of the important ways to regenerate the national spirit. At that time, the traditional painting was going to be deadlock of that time, so Chen Shizeng and Jin Cheng, who set up together the largest traditional arts league in Beijing to built up the differential nonesuch between eastern and western arts, exploring hardly on modern transformation of traditional painting, rose the flat for renewal traditional arts.In this present work, we, on the basis of case studies of Chen Shizeng and Jin Chen, focus on the study of painting art in Beijing and perform the microanalysis of a group of traditional painters in the early period of Republic of China, based on case Studies of Chen Shizeng and Jin Chen. The full work is composed of four sections. Firstly, the background information of Chen and Jin, as well as the layout of painting in Beijing at the beginning period of Republic of China, is introduced in whole. And then, based on some considerations such as the background of the study abroad, "南风北渐", the copy from ancient painting, and the exploration of realism, we expatiate on the different art style and exploring route between Chen and Jin. Finally, their differences in the form of art organization and the thought of painting learning are respectively compared.The author tried to study the cases of Chen shizen and Jing chen in order to describe microcosmically the traditional painters in Beijing. We also studied the relationships between artists, artistic style and social environment using comparison method. Meanwhile, we followed the artistic tracks of Chen Shizen and Jing chen in creative style and artistic idea ways to discuss the style difference between entireness and individuals of Beijing traditional panting domain in the early of 20th centuries.
