In 1912, Trinity College, Foochow was originated by C.M.S. in Fuzhou and was administered by D.U.F.M. completely. Before the registration ,the school was independence to the Chinese Government, its staff , finance and curriculum were all decided by foreign missionaries. With the Call of "Chinese control" ,the school had to apply for registration. After registration ,the teaching and administration were held by Chinese gradually, but the finance still depend on the foreign Society. In 1912-1949, there are some Characters in teaching such as putting emphases in teaching of English, religion, P.E. and developing ability of students. The school affected Fuzhou greatly .The students of T.C. had taken part in the patriotic movement actively, some of graduated students devoted themselves to the revolution of China, others service the society. The items of sports were introduced by the school had promoted the level of physical training in Fuzhou. The western life style brought by the school has changed the customs in Fuzhou.
