The Research Of Environment Design Drawing In Foreign Country

Designing, an integration of art and technology, focuses on people and creates the product and image combining functions and forms perfectly. To communicate effectively in different communities and areas, we need a visible and intelligible"carrier"or"symbol", that is, design presentation. It has various kinds of manifestation, either in the way of hand-draw sketch or computer-based presentation drawing or in the way of solid model or mock demonstration of three-dimensional cartoon. In this thesis, the writer studies in a systematic way the hand-draw sketch, an old and primitive method of presentation. Artists adopt rather different presentation techniques in different historical period and areas, while all of which are closely related to the basic function, aesthetics of arts, the spatial and temporal concepts, the medium of tools, the procedure and technique of drawings, scientific knowledge of geometry and optics and so on. Compared with other research, the most distinctive characteristics of this thesis lies in the following studies, that is, based on excellent pictures and accompanying illustrations, the systematic and complete summary of the developed skeleton of artists in different schools at various periods of time and areas and their design presentations dating back to the starting point of artistic design presentation to the middle of 20th Century, the analysis of the characteristics of those artists and their works and defining the status and influence of them in the history of design presentation.As a historiographic study, this thesis customarily presents its study in a diachronic way. It systematically summarizes and expatiates the hand-draw presentation of the artists'design drawings from the starting point of foreign artistic design presentation to the middle of 20th Century, and the works cited in the thesis are all the most representative works at various historical period. In order to increase the integrity of the study, the thesis, at the same time, also makes a synchronic comparison between the author and his works and the relevant social background and artistic styles and schools. This thesis is an experimental study on the hand-draw sketch and its main significance is to understand the essence of hand-draw presentation drawing, improve the designing level of our country and promote the education of designing of our country as well.
