| The Great Rising of 1381 in England is an inevitable result of all kinds of contradictions, including political, economic and social reasons. The purpose of this essay is to analyze the profound background and influence of this rising. It is composed of three chapters.Chapter one analyzes the background of the great rising in detail, including the feudal system in England in the Middle Ages, focusing on the Black Death, the Ordinance of Laborers and the poll tax. A sequence of historical accidents brought on far-reaching influence on politics and economy in England, and result in the breaking out of the rising.Chapter two narrates the process of the rising in brief, such as the beginning, the climax and the end.In the third chapter, the effects of this rising becomes the discussing focus.
