Modern advertisements have become an important part of people's daily necessities. Advertisements function as the carrier of culture during the process of spreading economic information. While embodying multi-social culture, advertising culture plays the double-oriented role for the culture of whole society, which needs no neglect.This thesis is based upon the theoretical study of relevant disciplines, such as advertising, communication theories, culture, and sociology. Established on advertising texts, and starting with the culture attribute, function and characteristic of modern advertisements, the thesis focuses on the positive effect and negative effect of advertising texts from the angle of multi-culture through the deep analysis of traditional culture, human common culture, foreign culture, subculture and modern culture. Finally, some related social cultures are embodied in modern advertising texts, for instance, philosophical concept, religious belief, view of value, moral principle, folk taboo, custom and habit, aesthetic culture, thinking model and language practice.
