| Composition of a picture is one indispensable element of visual art, which is the means of arrange relationship and location of portrait and object within limit space, so as to organize single or scrap images of painting into a complete art work due to artists to express theme and aesthetic effect. Therefore, composition of a picture is highly significant for the success of a work of art. Firstly, we have to consider the composition of a painting when start doing it,"because satisfied framework of a painting work can express main idea and artistic conception of the artists who wish for". Consequently, Composition of a picture is to be called as"a means of organize all drawing language, and summation of measure to unveil full ways of shape images". At all times and in all over the world, painters always take delight in talking about the theory of composition and researching it patiently. The traditional painting realism began to collapse, as the invention of photography in 19th century, which led to birth of modern art. Modernistic artists began to use subject expression replace object expression, and the criterion for success of the painting work is not likeness nature anymore. Hence, no matter in conception, theme, composition, color, or skills of drawing, modernistic painting is daring creativity and has more time spirit. The composition of modernistic painting needn't rely any more on scenography, and withdraw three-dimensional space. Complanation manner of composition become one important character of modern painting art. In this dissertation the composition of modernistic painting is analyzed and considered in three different ways. The first part discusses importance of composition in the painting work, and to illustrate principle of composition. The second part expatiates on the character of composition complanation in modernistic painting art. The third part addresses modern Chinese painter's discovery on composition complanation of painting. |
