Up to now subjective written expression test has been the only way through which the Chinese Proficiency Test (Advanced) is carried out, however, with the number of people taking this examination being on the increase, a number of difficulties in the going over examination papers process are coming out, which have consumed considerable manpower, material resources and financial resources. In order to perfect our system of Chinese Proficiency Test (Advanced) and make the going over examination papers process function more effectively, we assume that it might be necessary to take an attempt to replace the old testing way by using objective written expression test. Therefore, we have designed a new objective written expression test paper and carried it out among a group of selected and sampling foreign students. And we have made a analysis on the correlational validity between the objective written expression test and the validation criterion as well as the correlational validity between the subjective written expression test and the validation criterion, using teachers' scoring, arranging orders, the results of the Chinese Proficiency Test (Advanced) subjective part and the scores of aural tests as external validation criterion. Besides, we have analysed the objective written expression test, four main categories of the test, the predictive validation that the expressive ability and logical ability reflect on the Chinese Proficiency Test (Advanced) and also conducted a regression analysis on how the objective written expression test can effect the subjective section of the Chinese Proficiency Test (Advanced) . According to the results of the research, we have found that the correlational validity between this objective written expression test paper and the validity criterion cannot be steadily higher than that of the subjective written expression test and can neither fairly-reflect the predictive ability of the subjective written expression test used in Chinese Proficiency Test (Advanced) .
