The Historiography Of English Renaissance

The English historiography during the Renaissance time fills the transformation and the development. The historians during this time following the ancient Greece and Rome's historians, take them as the model to study the history. The English historiography pays more attention on human beings and returns to human's history from the god's history.The historiography of English Renaissance is divided into four stages. The first stage is the transitional stage form middle ages to the Renaissance period. During the second stage the first English humanism historian appeared. The third stage is the 16th century. They paid much attention to the analyzing materials, and used other knowledge to study history.
