This paper researches the natural disasters in Fujian.I deal with this problem in two sections. In the first section, including seven units, by collecting historical materials in different aspects, I describe the general situation about the natural disasters in Fujian during the Ming Dynasty, and discuss the specialties of main disasters, such as the floods, tides, strong winds, freeze injury, earthquakes etc. There were three main characteristics. First, the draught and floods were the most enormous disasters which broke out frequently and did great harm to people, and it was said that "the floods in a line, the draught in large scale". Second, the rate of the disasters that broke out together was high. Disasters like floods, draughts, earthquakes broke out frequently. Third, the specialties in mountainous regions were much different from that in littoral. The second section, analyses the roots of these peculiarities from both the natural and factitious environments of Fujian province, and uncovers and enhances the emergency and necessity for harmonizing well between human and the nature. Though Fujian was in national-scope MingQing University disasters, it didn't synchronize with other regions. And the peak of kinds of disasters differed from each other. Natural environments not only kept comparative independence but also had close internal relations in different regions. This is the environmental factor that decided the high frequency of the nature disasters in our province. The special ecological vulnerabilities were hidden by the superior ecological conditions. Large-scale human being's activities for instance blindly reclaiming the mountainous regions, the historical intense inconsistency between population and farming field and so on, intensified the natural disasters. The abilities of sustaining the disasters of the whole society dropped in succession. Factitious factors were the vital one that aggravated the natural disasters.
