Lisui(1830-1899),whose coming-of-age name given to him was Yongyan, was born in Cangwu town,Guangxi. He was the most excellent one of Provincial Graduate in 1856, the sixth year of Xianfeng emperor's reign. After being Imperial Scholars in the second year of Tongzhi emperor's reign(1863), Lisui served as the main clerk of the Bureau of Judiciary, then was promoted to director. In the seventh year of Guangxu emperor's reign(1881), he was demoted to Censor of Shanxi Circuit, supervising and administering five cities' Street Censor. Then he served successively as the Censor of Fujian Circuit, Jingji Circuit and Jiangnan Circuit. Three years latter(1884), he was demoted to Superior Prefecture of Gaozhou government and plurality of Lianzhou government.In the sixth year of Guangxu emperor's reign(1887), Lisui transferred to Superior Prefecture of Huizhou government then to S.P.of Guangzhou government(1890).He resigned by the excuse of illness and back to his hometown in the nighteenth yesrs of Guangxu emperor's reign(1893). Lisui was born with the talent for poet. His work BaiHe Mountain Poems Collection which constituted of seven volumes has luxuriant culture and literature value.On one hand, this thesis has a deep and elaborate Collation and annotation on Lisui Anthology, according to the related material such as the poems and author's note to the anthology , for reduction of errors and resumption of its originality in order to reflect the original appearance of the poems , and for dialed and precise annotation and analysis on the obscure characters,allusions, quotations, historical facts ,so that readers can understand the poems correctly.On the other hand, this thesis has a thorough research on Lisui s extraction and life, and the theme, the artistic style of his pomes.
