Content:Liyu, who lived between Late-Ming Dynasty and Qing Dynasty , was deeply affected by individualism in Late-Ming Dynasty. His peculiar character went beyond the traditional intellectual personality with a combination of being random ,arrogant and true.He led a leisure life at that time and took it as a bottom line.He was really such a controversial person.His works— Liweng shizhongqu—boasts the following two outstanding characteristics:First,he had Daoism and infidelity as his ideal life pursuit in his works.Second,his shizhongqu in art seek a sense of novelty from the very beginning to the end.As to drama performance ,his personal contributions has two aspects:one is endeavoring to make drama return to its original entertainment function;the other is taking drama plot structure as the top priority.In other words,Liyu is the one of the impressive dramatists in China who attaches great importance to the performance on the theater stage.
