The Research Of The Same Character's Different Pronunciations In Xiru Ermu Zi

As a Chinese characters dictionary that reflects the speech system of early 17 centuries, Xiru ermu zi (An Aid to the Eye and Ear of Western Scholars) has very high research value in a few aspect of the linguistics. Therefore, a lot of scholars have studied on it in many ways. Among them, the ages and the dialects that speech which recorded by Xiru ermu zi belong to have been the focus of the scholars, and they made a lot of outstanding results. However, there are no scholars who had carried on the thorough research of the same character's different pronunciations that can be easily found everywhere in the book. So, my research focus at the same character's different pronunciations in order to analyze the phonetic strata and the foundation of the speech system in Xiru ermu zi. In the research, firstly, I summarize the research results of the reconstruction of the speech system in Xiru ermu zi made by scholars in the past, then I get the the speech system of Xiru ermu zi according to the research results.
