| Weitai lived in the Northern Song Dynasty in xiangyang. He hadn't been an official all his life, but he liked to make friends with officials of that time. So he experienced or heard many anecdotes of the court by himself. As a looker-on of officialdom, Weitai reminisced the past and wrote 《Dongxuanbilu》 including fifteen volumes after his midlife.《Dongxuanbilu》 is a note of historical data which records the historical facts since Taizu period to Shenzong period, the old lore of the anecdotes . And it referrs to aspects of politics, ecnomy, culture etc. Weitai recorded the persons and things of that time with his particular angle of view and depiction style which differs to official history. Among this book, a majority of contents have unique value of the historical data. Especially to the political reform of Wang Anshi and the group, Weitai recorded them particularly ,externally and equitably.From the angel of philology, I set about to study Weitai and 《Dongxuanbilu》 in order to present the book's visage across-the-board and by the numbers. This thesis includes examining Weitai's fete day and death day, correcting the opinions about his morality, and investigating his intercourse. Except these, it also introduced the headstream of the book's edition, summarization of the contents and orientation of the sort, stressing its vaule of the historical data.Examining Weitai's fete day and death day, excavating the vaule of the historical data, and changing Weitai's bad repute through his intercourse and political point of view, it should be the innovation of this thesis. |
