On The Historical Experience And Significance Of The New Fourth Army's Fight Against Japan

The New Fourth Army is an army of the CCP in the War of Resistance against Japan and shares the honor of a hero unit with the Eighth Route Army. It was founded in late 1937 and reorganized into East China Field Army in January, 1947. It fought for a long term in Central China, East China battlefields on the both sides of Changjiang River, and made a significant contribution to China's victory in the War of Resistance Against Japan. Its great contributions will shine forever.Following the development of history, this thesis mainly explores into the course of the founding and development of the New Fourth Army, and of its fighting against Japan. The thesis also sums up the historical experience of the New Fourth Army in the War of Resistance against Japan, and concludes that the practice of the New Fourth Army in the War of Resistance is of great significance to reform, opening up and socialist modernizing construction in the new era.
