The research in this thesis is a creative one. For various reasons, the former researchers haven't conducted any systematic survey on the vocabulary in Wujian up to now. Only some words are examined for the purpose of illustrating history and culture not to explain the characteristics and regulations of the vocabulary themselves. Concerning this, the author conducted a systematic survey on the account vocabulary in Wujian. In this survey, the author combs the phonetic and semantic systems of the account vocabulary, examines the function of the rhyme in word formation, explains some words which haven't been examined before, studies the literal phenomena in Wujian and solves quite a few ambiguous problems in history and linguistics. The preface is an introduction of how Wujian was discovered and its value, the achievement and inadequateness of the study conducted on it, and the important function of the survey on Wujian. In the first chapter, the author mainly explains the basic knowledge about account vocabulary, its part of speech, formation, features, naming regulations and styles. In the second chapter, the author examines the structure of the account vocabulary and the internal rhyme factors that contributes to the double syllablization of some Chinese words. In the third chapter, the author examines the synchronic situation and features of the account vocabulary. The meaning of several words such as zu(rent), shui( tax),xian(limit) etc. are also explained here. This chapter is also a specific survey on synonymous, antonymy parataxis and the parataxis sharing the same root.In the fourth chapter, the author mainly examines the diachronic development of the meaning of the account vocabulary as well as the reasons for that development. In the fifth chapter, the author explores the economic and cultural phenomena reflected by the vocabulary by examing the relationship between langue and culture. He also comes to a conclusion that the economy of the eastern Wu kingdom was very prosperous. In the sixth chapter, the author analyses the word formation in Wujian and examines some account vocabulary. In the last chapter, the author illustrates systematically the meaning of some words which are used frequently and haven't been examined in the previous chapters for the purpose of covering all the vocabulary in Wujian.
