Revising Of The College Adjustment Scales And The Research Of The Application

Becoming a undergraduate is a great transition of adolescence, the change of experience and environment must bring stress and challenge to the individual. The adjustment to the transition, and then to the four years study and life, not only will influence directly current development of body and mind,and also will influence development of adult, even has potential value to the social development. So, the adjustment of undergraduates has became a focus. College Adjustment Scales compiled by Anton and Reed in 1991 has been applied widely in the counseling services to college students, and has been proved have high reliability and fair validity.Currently, there are some lacks on the college adjustment tests in the domestic. According to culture of Chinese, it is necessary to revise CAS used by Chinese undergraduates.Base on the primary revise, trial-test, result analysis and revise again, this research formed the Chinese edition of College Adjustment Scales,and use it to research the trait of college adjustment. Then, referring normative data has been compiled, and developing the software of College Adjustment Scales.The results of the study show that:(1) The revised College Adjustment Scales is of high reliability and fair validity.
