Out of question, there are inseparable connections among the various arts esthetics. In this category, the union of penmanship and painting seems to be the most intimate and unique, which determines that there is possibility of relying on and influencing each other between them. Both of Chinese traditional painting and calligraphy are the expressing languages that using pen and ink as their cores. Avoiding the carrier, ink, it will lose its original charm, and what's more important, avoiding the ink rhyme caused by using pen and ink, it can not form the depth and width of the art that it should have. Ink-rhyme can be considered as the color language of forming pictures in the field of Chinese Painting. At the same time, in the field of calligraphy, enriching chirography is the lead, and under its lead, ink-rhyme form its art language feature in particular space and the meta of moving. The historical arguments on calligraphy and painting refer the union relationship between them in a "citing calligraphy into painting "way. But there are few experts survey the promoting function that painting has on calligraphy in a different angle. In the writer's opinion, in the union of these two elements, a major aspect that painting influences calligraphy is just represented in ink-rhyme.Although there are many valuable viewpoints on the ink rhyme expression in calligraphy in historical arguments, in a long period of time, calligraphists hold the view of "Light ink hurts spirit" all the time. They use the meta of ink rhyme to strengthen the expressing power of calligraphy, but in this aspect, they have not accumulated enough control ability and psychological sensitive. There are other traditional opinions thinking that although calligraphy art is formed by the intersecting of pen and ink, after all, pen is the lead while ink is following; ink rhyme is not the leading element in the forming process of calligraphy, so heavy ink exists as the usual expressing of ink rhyme in calligraphy, but not in leading position.
