This article take Hong Ying's works Far Goes the girl , Daughter of the River , English Lover and Ananda as the main objects to study , including the others in which Hong Ying's novels. It uses the theories and methods of Post-colonialism and Feminist Literary criticism as visual angle ,and try to put text at the specific culture-history background to analyze and review .The main body of this thesis is made up of two parts .The first part ( chapter 1 ) expounds the relation between self-sculptured imagery and Orientalism. Hong Ying has wrote many vivid figures and countries imagery .These imagery showed the power difference of east-west culture relation , and combined herself culture identity , then presented the pattern of Self-orientalism.The second part (chapter 2) mainly explored the author's latent feminine consciousness , which she created narrative text in Cross-cultural context . On the today's literary circle , Hong Ying is a special writer. There is a distinctive feminine consciousness in her works. Through specifically analyzing Far Goes the girl and some other works , the article points out a kind of change from desire writing to societal narrative and a kind of extension from female private space to public space , which meaning Hong ying never contented to stay at the limited private space of feminine literature . She will head for more expansive space.
