Ecological literature is a critical insurgency that rose in North America in the 90'sand has nowbecome a global movement. Althouliterary the writes have shown atendency of getting out of the textual close reading and paying more attention to theoutsise world, this "world" means to alarge extent the society or the human world.Ecocriticism argues that the world is to include the natural world, and art is to berelated to nature and life.Ecological literature by focusing on the ralationship between man and nature, enables the critics to break further out of the social-historical context of the literaryworks, so that when they review the formation of canon and critique the presentliterary theories, they are able to bring the whole earth biosphere into their academicvision and represent the absent identitiy of nature in the texts and even in culture. From the day it came into being, ecological literature has been challenged bytraditional theories, but once it applied the postmodern methodology of decentralizingand deperiphe ralizing that had already been acknowledged by feminism andpost-colonialism, it has increasingly been vigorous. This is also "thanks to" theenvironmental deterioration in that mere and more people feel it necessary to considerthe issue against a cultural rather than a scientific background. Ecological literature isnot only an expression of social justice tended to by earnest critics, its significancelies as well in fully unfolding the critical visual Beld, which indicates literary studieshave crossed not only other humanities but also scientific disciplines.
