COSPLAY was a luminescent spot for pop culture, its cultural root was actually historic, and it is the emerging shape of make-up culture. It combine the dummy and praxis by gorgeous stage, colorful clothing and individual performance.. The COSPLAY collection young peoples' self-exhibit, their pursue for perfect and rebel against orthodoxy. So we can say its both the adolescent bash and bodily extending.COSPLAY is so popular because its cultural style satisfies the need of the young, and also because the specific commercial impetus.The COSPLAY development cannot leave the prosperity of cartoon culture. The cartoon industry is called the core industry in 21st century and the other economical growth point after IT industry. The huge demand in Chinese market causes it to be the goal which the overseas cartoon manufacturers want to get. Until now, China already became the biggest input country of the cartoon game product, and the profit above 80%has all flowed to Japan, US, South Korea. On the one hand, the import of these overseas cartoon games has cultivated domestic. On the other hand, the government has also realized the huge development of cartoon game. Thereupon, in the short several years, each big city holds cartoon show frequently, dozens of state-levels cartoon base establishes one after another. Under this kind of background, Chinese COSPLAY activity is canonized as both the attached culture of cartoon culture and commercial propaganda activity. There are more and more cartoon and games in cities such as Shanghai, Guangzhou, Beijing and Wuhan, the COSPLAY competition or the performance has became the essential splendid programs on these meeting.But the research about COSPLAY is non-mainstream yet, so I can only feel the stone to cross river. As an extremely young research area, the research angle of view about the cartoon culture, including the politics, the economic, and the sociology and so on. Although each angle is characteristic respectively, it is not yet form the system actually. This research mainly adopts field survey means, takes the participating in active and the COSPLAYER interview as the main material, in order to notice the idiosyncrasy of the cartoon culture from a practical angel.This research obtained massive interviews recording described the audiences' attitude to the COSPLAY in certain time. The analysis upon this is shallow anatomy to the COSPLAY, and also is valuable datum for after researcher.This article will see about the COSPLAY, in order to know the essence, the characteristic, the form reason and tendency of Chinese COSPLAY. In the preface, the article described its form and the active flow; In the first chapter I teased the COSPLAY's history and the present situation; In the second chapter, the article expounded the COSPLAY's characteristic, In the third chapter, the article analyzed the immense characteristic of COSPLAY and its tendency.
