A writer's experience in life has a subtle but complex relation with his or her works. Any individual life is unique and rich, which makes a rich and colorful literary world. As one of the most charming and individualistic women writers in the 20th century, Marguerite Duras (1914-1996) has unfolded before us a colorful world of art in her more than half a century literary career. Themes of multilevel, such as society, humanity and so on, can find good expression in her diversified literary forms like novel, informal essay and drama. This paper, mainly by using theories relevant to psychology, defines fundamental psychological elements of literary creation: childhood, experience of loneliness and narcissism, and analyzes her psychological process, psychological features, psychological pattern etc., in her creations. With her childhood deeply engraved in the mind, Duras develops an extraordinary sensitivity and a unique experience about things and life. The childhood experience not only has a great influence on her personality but also has a decisive effect on subject matters, prototypes of character, tones of feeling and artistic styles in her works, in which demonstrated is a strong Indochina complex. Her solitude experience is a deep and strong retrospection with wisdom. In her novels, she creates a lonely world where most characters are lonely individuals, which is of course closely related to her lifelong loneliness. Duras displays her own thinking through the behaviors and thoughts of those whom she writes about. The repeated expression of herself in her books reveals not only her narcissism but also a sense of inferiority in the cockles of her heart. With great courage, Duras fully reveals her pain experienced in life, thoroughly discloses a woman's desire, wisdom, loneliness and narcissism, and identifies her own life experience with that of the whole mankind, which characterizes her works with rational exploration-the reflection of predicament of mankind. In Duras's artistic world, writing is an expression of her unique consciousness and a heartfelt concern for human survival.
