Contemporary Chinese Cultural Construction In The Context Of Cultural Globalization

Cultural globalization, which has its own philosophical basis, logical premise and material factors, is an objective historical process. In this process, influenced by both "merging" and "dissimilating" simultaneously, different national cultures constantly strengthen their exchanges and cooperation, promoting mutual understanding and development in the "universal globe". Therefore, the speciality of national culture and universality of human culture go on smoothly.Cultural globalization has the dual influence on contemporary Chinese cultural construction. It not only provides many opportunities but also creates many tough challenges. To catch these opportunities and overcome challenges, the conception of contemporary Chinese cultural construction must be worked out under global vision, in which our strategic goal is to build "harmonious but different" modern culture. In addition, we must adhere to nationalism, opening-up and innovation, integrate various cultural resources in order to sublate and transcend Chinese traditional culture and western culture.
