Bi Shumin, a kind lady who is a writer of rare ability, comes to us with the great novel published in 1987--Kunlun Death, which is full of power and grandeur. She expresses the profound sympathy and care for people from her master, which often make us connect with Bing Xin who has the good reputation--the Holy Mother of the literary world. Her creation and Bing Xin' s come down in one continuous line. Therefore, consulting the great writer Bing Xin, the author tries to explain Bi Shumin' s"the feelings of the Holy Mother", and get the inestimable value and meaning.The article is divided into three parts.In the first part, the author stresses the surroundings which gave birth to"the feeling of the Holy Mother", and generalizes the similar experiences of the two authoresses--the bright childhood, the profound comprehension of facing the boundless natural world, the family background of soldiers which accompanied her growth, and the life changing from the male tendency into the female, turning a doctor into a writer. In addition, both of them play roles of mother.The next part analyses the detailed expressions about"the feelings of the Holy Mother": the profound sympathy and care for people-paying a good deal of attention to the plight of people, and showing sympathy for the weak group; kindling lives with maternal love; sacrificing oneself to deliver the people from an abyss of misery; Showing solicitude for children, and treasuring childlike innocence.Last but not least, the third part in the article reveals the practical significance: keeping watch high faith; believing that love is a recipe which can rescue the world-human and the nature can be peaceful coexistence, and people will be very friendly and get on very well together; redeeming women's dignity-their wisdom, talent, power, love and hope. And maternal instinct is also affirmed in the theories about women doctrine in western world.
