No literature exists without presenting the life of human beings and eulogizing the life of human beings as the basic theme.Chinese classical literature is full of spirit of life. Chinese classical literature is basically characterized by presentation of life, ode to life and concern about life. Ancient Chinese had observed the complicated relationship between literature and life. Especially in Jian'an period, with the decline of the mentality of the Confucian, the awakening of individual consciousness and self-knowledge in literature, people got further recognition of the relationship between literature and life. Literati displayed the value of individual life, the spirit of independence, and presented the individual life.In the times of anarchy and disorder of Han dynasty,CaoCao,CaoPi and Caozhiformed the unique school of literature as active creators of social value and bold practitioner of social role, and the highest standard and model of Jian'an literary arena. Their literature is comprehensive life literature in the real meaning which embodies the spirit of life of Jian'an literati.In this essay, the three Caos'life consciousness in their literary creation is discussed from three aspects: First, three Caos'concept of life____sentimentality of transiency of life, entertainment in time, presentation of the graceful bearing of life, being free and easy, unrestrained, paying attention to oneself, showing individual life, developing a school of their own, carrying out the eternal value of individual life;Second,three spirit of life____spirit of sentimentality, liberty and literal creation;Third,three Caos'writing style____the life characteristics in the literary style,structure,diction and manner of their works.
