They can locate an embarrassed circumstance every now and then for people who engagein watercolor. On the one hand, they strong love watercolors;on the other hand, there aremany unprofessional or professional people's scornful words and jeering smiles. Such as asmall painting sort, a little type, a light music, basic lesson and so on. Some people are able toretort them;other persisted ones carry off with a laugh to them, pay no attention to them, andstill go their own ways. In fact, if you research the history of fine art's development, youcan see easily it plays extremely important roles and we cannot deny its value of existence,although it has been a small part.This thesis tries to analyze in detail generally the development and expression ofwatercolor in all kinds of numerous and complicated phenomenon, to relate the course, toanalyze the historical data, to put forward the rule, to coagulate the conclusion.For one thing, the thesis sets forth the expressional cultural developmental course ofwatercolor from its origins, independence, development, maturity to multiplicity;it revealsthe transform of roles of watercolor in the phylogeny of painting;it suggests that watercolor isthe source of painting;it affirms watercolor's important status in the phylogeny of painting.For another, the thesis inquires into the languages of forms and the expressions of creation ofemotion of watercolor;it raises the methods of what watercolor's languages are embedded inthe sketch's basic languages and the extensive changes;and it decides effectively on name forwatercolor, these not only provide the convenient way for people who devote themselves towatercolor, but also explore a new way to connect the basic education and specialized study.
