The Ding Ling is a top special writer of the contemporary literature history.And she hasabundant ,dalicated and sensitive female feelings, and fierce female consciousness. Althoughshe stepped into the literature,she was a doer of female liberation duing May Forth.Therefore,her works mostly advocate the female consciousness, and pay tremendous concern to thefemale's existence and destiny, which bring Chinese contemporary female literature newexpectation.And her works manifest the spiritual rising and transcending traces of deepened femaleconsciousness ,impilicate her self-criticism,and her approaching to realization of the meaningof as well as criticism of feudality.And the special character qualities and individualexperience indicate her perplex and contradictory in the text ,that is so-called "LatentDiscourse" present in the text. The"Latent Discourse" refers to not only the femaleconsciousness filled with strong self-renewal, self-respect, which shows embarrassment fromthe trap of male power value and interest ,but also the " Latent Discourse " far away the textin the 1930's and during the Anne period. From her discourse we can feel her confusion,puzzle and her hoping comprihension.The thesis is mainly divided into three parts according to the Ding Ling's works indifferent periods. The first part is about the female consciousness under the bothsexes :embarrassed words. The second part is about the alternative between revolutionposition and female position:puzzled words.The third part is about expective integration andcomprehension:expected words. The three parts cheifly discuss the worth of her works andexplore her consciousness or latent onsciousness. With the outline of era and author'sexperience,the thesis tries to find out author's contradictory and expectation though theanalysis of representative works in respective period.
