Since 1990s, the context of Chinese native novel has changed greatly. As thetrend of the globalization becomes more and more clear, the market economy isdeveloping rapidly, and the cultural conflict becomes sharper, the traditional culturefaces a more rigorous challenge and the aesthetic method makes a new transformation.Accordingly, this trend appears mainly on the strength of the writer's subjectiveconsciousness and the ability of blazing new trails and the formation of themultivariate constructure.Facing a new cultural context and the practice of the literature, there appeared alot of monographs and treatises of researches, such as A Discuss of the History ofChinese Rural Novel and A History of Chinese Native Novel, and some teams form bysome famous scholars such as Ding Fan, Chen Jihui and Fan Jiajin. It can beconsidered to be perfect. At the same time, the traditional methods of research alsoface some new questions. We should stand on the basis of present cultural context andcombine its intrinsic character, then spread out a rethink and construct of theory andcreation. This thesis tries to break out the traditional method which breake the cultureand the narration up, and plans to discuss the native novel after 1990s from thefollowing three aspects.1. The conflict of culture and transformation of the narrative position of thenative novel. After the 1990s, the school of the native novel nearly appears in theliterary circies, for the writers have paid more attention to their own world. Theintensification of the cultural conflict and the strengthening of the writers' individualconsciousness lead to a transformation of the narrative position. On one aspect, theyinsist on a rural and humanistic spiritual position, pay attention to the depiction of thelocal flavor. On the other aspect, they walk out from the structure of dualism andmake up a very individual and many-faceted structure. The enlightmental narration isnot unique any more, and the writers walk out from the unified literary structure oneafter another. At the same time, rethinking their narrative position, they concentrate tothe foundation of the distinctive individual value. They come back to "the creck ofhistory"to seek the forever poetry, or are anxious for the exploration of thecountryside and for the changes of the life in the village, or face the missing of thehumanlike value straightly, in order to reconstruct the poetry garden ……Thenarrative position of philosophy, history, cultural and humanitarian at last brought thevaried styles of the native novel's narration.2. The national consciousness and transformation of the narrativeconstructure. In fact, the globalization is a sword with two sides. On one hand, itforms a challenge to the inhabitation and development of the traditional culture. Onthe other hand, it facilitates the awaking and strengthening of the nationalconsciousness. The traditional native novel is too stickler for a single constructure soas to lacking of variation. The intense of the cultural conflict makes the local worldbecome more and more complex, and the traditional narrative constructure could notsatisfy the requirement of the neo-rural narration, so the writers' distinctive cultureshasten some new and specialized narrative constructure's birth and the traditionalnarrative aesthetics come back to the family of the native novel. The narrativeconstructures such as the styles of seeking-origin and monologue could not onlyexplore the deep connotation of the rural culture, but also display a complex ofhumanity in local places. What's more advanced is that a kind of space narrative novelhas appeared recently. The style of prose, dictionary and local records, suchstereoscopic structures build a new artistic world. They find a poetry country oftraditional culture from different angles and different methods so as to lamenting thehopelessness of the modern people for coming back to their home.3. The existed home of man and transformation of the native narrativelanguage. Facing the expansion of the globalization, the question of using Chinese asa primary writing language becomes more and more important. The native novel ofthis period stands on a basis of the local culture and absorbs the dialect, ballad,archaism and some other resources, using repetition, monopoly, carnival and someother language methods, then goes toward the nationalism and individualism. Therebuild of the rural novel language not only strengthens the ability of bringing newideas into Chinese language, but adds a local color for the native novel. On the otheraspect, its exceeding language experiment makes a hurt to the art of novel, thecreation of the literary language is still a complex question.Conclusion: Since the 1990s (especially after the new century), the change ofthe native novel's narration has brought a great and deep affection to the wholenovelistic narrative constructure. The indigenization, allegory, and pluralism with aaroma of aesthetic exceeding explore the new field for Chinese literature. However,facing the situation of the national culture's transformation, the native narration is stilllack of a original artistic transmutation, writing of dependence and inclining to thesame are still serious. |
